Hi Alyssa! Welcome to Collector’s Corner! I baked some fairy cakes in honour of your visit and Instagram account name. Try the ones with pink icing, they are delicious! But before you take a bite, can you tell us how long you’ve been collecting Pandora?

Hello! Thank you so much for having me here ? I’ve been collecting Pandora for almost three years now, I started collecting in October 2017.

You have a wonderful collection. What was it that made you fall in love with Pandora jewellery?

I love the fact that I can be reminded of either a special event or celebration, and also each of my loved ones by these beautiful charms and pieces, that I can always have with me. I love that each charm has a story to tell, or has a special meaning behind it. It’s funny because at first, I wasn’t that interested with the charms and bracelets, I only wanted the rings. But after looking more into Pandora’s jewellery selection, I just couldn’t help myself.

That is really interesting. Although I do like Pandora rings, I only have a few in my collection as I have always concentrated more on the charms. Could you share some information about your Pandora collection, especially the two tone pieces as I noticed you have quite a few!

My Pandora collection has more charms and bracelets, more than any other jewellery, because I just absolutely fell in love with charm bracelets!

I do have quite a few two toned charms, and bracelet themes, they are the most special ones. The two toned charms are also the ones that I think are the most beautiful, and I can’t get enough of them!

Do you know how many two toned pieces you have in your collection?

Oh goodness, haha! The total number of two toned pieces that I have in my entire collection is 107. That includes rings, bracelets, safety chains, charms, clips, and spacers. Hopefully I counted them correctly!

Wow! That is amazing! I think I’m gonna turn into a little two tone monster of envy! Do you have any rare or hard to find pieces amongst those goodies?

Yes, I believe so. Most of them I feel like are either 14k gold or two toned charms, like the Golden Dragonfly for example, which is also one of my favourites. It seems like it’s a very sought after, and rare piece.

I also have the Dark Enchantment ring and pendant which are such beautiful pieces, but I don’t see them much from other collections.

The two tone dragonfly is also my favourite. It is so beautiful. What would you say is your favourite piece of Pandora jewellery?

Without a doubt, the two toned pieces. They’re just so beautiful and unique, and there’s a certain elegance to them. I also feel like the two toned ones make the bracelet extra special, in a way.

It is so hard to just pick one piece isn’t it? Now Alyssa, I am interested to learn whether you make up bracelets one by one, or do you keep your charms and bracelets separate and make up bracelets for any occasion?

You’ll find a lot of themes with my charm bracelet collection. I usually don’t change them up, and I’m pretty set with a bracelet design/theme once I finish it. There would be times where I would re arrange them or re-design a little bit, but for the most part, I keep the charms with that certain theme for my bracelet design.

Can you tell us what is currently on your Pandora wish list?

I really haven’t had a wishlist in a while, because most of the ones that I want to get have been long retired. But if I could get them, I really would love to have a lot of the 14k gold pieces. Like the gold Open Heart spacers, 14k gold core muranos, and the gold Shining Star, I believe is what the ring is called, the one with the black spinel.

That is what is know as a dream list! As a collector Alyssa, what do you think of the direction Pandora is taking so far in 2020?

I feel like a lot of collectors would agree with me, that a whole lot of their new pieces seems to be targeted towards a much younger crowd.

I also find that I’m not buying as much from these new collections. Maybe one or two would catch my eye, but I don’t end up going for it. Personally, I prefer their older style, without a ton of czs or enamel. There’s just a certain beauty with a simple but detailed jewellery piece, in my opinion. That’s why I was so so happy and excited when I first heard about the 20th anniversary special charms, because they brought back some of the retired pieces they made before.

I certainly prefer diamonds to cubic zirconia stones! You mentioned the Pandora 20th Anniversary Collection. What are your thoughts on it so far, are you looking forward to the next charm?

I love the whole idea of Pandora bringing these retired pieces back for their anniversary. However, it also has been incredibly frustrating trying to get ahold of these charms. I also wish that it was made available for other Pandora collectors worldwide, not just in select countries. But overall, I love that they decided to rerelease them, and wish they would do that more! ? Especially since a lot of collectors, including myself, prefer the older style of Pandora designs.

I’m pretty excited to see the charm for the month of May, and I’m interested to see whether it really is going to be two toned, or if they’re going to stick with the all silver design.

You don’t have to wait much longer to find out! Now I think I can guess the answer but what would you like to see from Pandora in the future?

I definitely would love if they brought back the two toned pieces, with the 14k gold. Not necessarily to say that they should go back to their old style of designs, but maybe in the future they can do both? To accommodate both their longtime customers (who are massive fans of the older style Pandora), and the new customers.

I can see that you collect PANDORA x Disney, which character would you like to see in the future?

I would love to see how they would design a Hercules collection! And also characters from Wreck It Ralph!

Did you hear Ariana Grande perform the Hercules hit, ‘I Won’t Say I’m in Love’ on the Disney Family Singalong? It was amazing!
