Collector’s Corner: Teodora @pandoraholicbg

This week on Collector’s Corner we’ll be chatting with the lovely Teodora who shares two of my passions; PANDORA and photography! Her Instagram account @pandoraholicbg is full of beautiful and inspiring images.

Teodora, thank you so much for taking the time to visit us on Collector’s Corner. To start with could you tell us how long you have been collecting PANDORA?

I started collecting PANDORA in October 2016 so it’s like almost 2 years now 🙂

Time flies in PANDORA world doesn’t it! So what was it that made you first fall in love with PANDORA?

My dad makes silver and gold jewelry and I have always been intrested in good jewellery… so I always check my friends jewellery and one day my friend introduced me to PANDORA. I was fascinated by all the small details and the idea of all the charms representing different special moments. But what really made me fall in love with PANDORA was the possibility of bringing a little bit of every place you visit with you with the help of the travel charms!

I love that about PANDORA too. Wonderful memories come to mind whenever I take a peek of my travel charms. Could you tell us a little about your PANDORA collection?

My collection is a mixture of travel charms, retired charms and of course some of the new charms. I’m mostly focus on the Moments bracelets and charms, but I also have a pair of earrings and a necklace. My collection is still small but im doing my best to expand it! I am mostly focused on the retired charms right now….. they are so beautiful I cannot get enough of them!

They really are! It’s a shame so many gorgeous charms have been retired. My husband treated me to the retired 14k gold Hanging Heart Dangle for our anniversary and it’s absolutely stunning! Are there any rare, or hard to find pieces in your PANDORA collection?

Well im not sure what is considered rare… but i can tell you that I had so much trouble finding the Vespa, Coffee Maker and Windmill charms that I consider them the most hard to find in my collection. I’m hopeing soon to add some rare old wooden Muranos to my collection.. lets keep our fingers crossed!

Oooh, the Wooden beads are amazing! I’d also love to add them to my collection. I’ve seen them for sale in buy and sell groups before, but ideally I would like to see them in person and pick the exact colour. What would you say is your favourite piece of PANDORA jewellery?

Well that is a very hard question, I love them all! But if I have to choose just one, I will pick the PANDORA Disney Mickey & Minnie Kiss Charm, mainly because it represents so much good memories and I of course I love the details on it. I love charms with enamel 🙂

It is a very cute charm! Good choice! Now for the big question: Do you make up bracelets one by one, or do you keep your charms and bracelets separate and make up bracelets for any occasion?

When I first started collecting PANDORA I was buying the charms that I like without thinking how I could match them. Then after I gathered some I started building bracelets for occasions. Now I have a few bracelets that I like how they are styled and I don’t change them. I have a few charms that have no place yet, so now when buying charms I’m thinking more about what kind of bracelet I want to put together with the new charms. Right now I’m starting an Autumn bracelet.

When I started to collect PANDORA I just picked out charms I liked or ones that meant a lot to me, but now I plan my purchase in advance much more too. Do you have any special PANDORA promotional items in your collection?

Well in Bulgaria (my country) they started selling promotional items last Christmas so I don’t have a lot. They started off with the green Christmas jewellery box. I also have the candle and the cleaning kit. Thanks to friends all over Europe I have the coffee mug, the Valentine’s Day trinket dish, the PANDORA Shine cultch and some pens.

That’s a wonderful assortment! There is a lovely PANDORA tea cup and saucer I saw once but I haven’t ever seen it for sale. What items do you have currently on your wish list Teodora?

I’m mostly focused on the retired charms right now… so my wish list is mostly made up of them and the first thing that pops up on my mind is the Pretzel charm. I also have some items from the new collection too.

So I’m guessing if you have some of the new collection on your wish list you quite like it. What do you think of the general direction PANDORA is taking in 2018?

Well I like when people try new things and get out of their comfort zone and I think this is what PANDORA is doing at the moment. I think they will attract more younger customers with the new collection. I also really like how they came up with the idea to recreate some of the old fairytale charms and add more life to them. They were originally beautiful but now they seem perfect! So I would like to see more new collections that are mixture of the old charms and new creative ideas 🙂

I agree with you about new ideas being good, even if I don’t like them all I appreciate that PANDORA is being more creative this year. What would you like to see from PANDORA in future collections?

I would love to see them recreating some of the old charms with a little bit of a more modern touch.

I think that would be popular with other fans too. Let’s hope they’re reading! As a Disney fan, which character would you like to see PANDORA produce in the future?

I would love to see Tangled and Pocahontas.

There would be so much they could do with those two characters. Did you get anything from the Autumn 2018 Collection?

I like the idea of modern fairytale… everyone is looking to have something a little bit more magical like a fairytale. It’s just so beautiful with all the grains and stones. I have a list but still haven’t bought anything yet…
