A History of PANDORA Christmas Ornaments

Each year PANDORA collectors wait in anticipation for the new Christmas Ornament. The tradition started back in 2008 when PANDORA released their first ornament for the holidays. Presented in a simple black box the 2008 holiday ornament is a simple PANDORA crown icon hanging from a red ribbon. Three sparkling stones set into the crown lift this pretty design. In 2009 PANDORA produced their second special holiday ornament. Also made from metal, the snowman ornament features a cute snowman adorned in a PANDORA scarf. another. Instead of a red ribbon the 2009 ornament hangs from a black ribbon. Like the first two ornaments the 2010 Sleigh was also made from metal and featured the crown motif, but now hangs from a cream ribbon.  This was also the first ornament which included a place to hide a little gift!

Porcelain Takes Over

From 2011 onwards PANDORA left behind the metal ornaments and began to produce porcelain holiday ornaments. A slightly unusual snowball started the new style gifts, decorated with little holes and dots of silver. Next in 2012 came the Christmas stocking with a wonderful pouch to hide a charm or two! Father Christmas was released as the 2013 ornament with a ‘sack’ for stowing presents. The 2014 ornament was a sleigh with another area to store a secret gift. In 2015 PANDORA changed the ribbon to a silvery blue colour which was fitting for the icy snowflake ornament. However the next year the cream ribbon was back with a little wrapped gift ornament hanging beneath. The 2017 bell ornament had a similar style with silver details and even rang like a real bell!

New Year, New Design

This year PANDORA have produced a new design for the 2018 Christmas ornament! The Christmas Pudding Bauble Ornament continues the white porcelain theme but has a beautiful pearlescent finish for the ‘icing’. A scattering pattern of snowflakes decorate the ornament and a simple silver disc display the year. Once again PANDORA have left the cream ribbon behind and picked a deep red ribbon featuring white PANDORA logos.

This year PANDORA will be introducing a completely new way to distribute the 2018 PANDORA Christmas Pudding Ornament.
