Pandora Disney Lion King Collection

Pandora Disney Lion King Collection

The upcoming Pandora Disney Lion King range will be the pride of your collection!

Pandora Disney Lion King Collection

This summer is incredibly exciting for Disney fans with a host of new live action films. Last month Dumbo and this month Aladdin and Toy Story 4. Next month the epic Lion King movie will be released, along with an amazing Disney Lion King range from Pandora!

The new Pandora Disney Lion King range is quite small and made up of one bangle and four charms. Two of the charms are sterling silver and the other two are lustrous 18k gold plated Pandora Shine.

Limited Time
Pandora Disney Lion King Bangle (598047CCZ)
$90 USD / £70 / €79 / $119 AUD / $100 CAD

The new Pandora Disney Lion King Bangle features a beautiful clasp featuring a motif of Rafiki’s drawing of young Simba. I love this icon as it symbolises my favourite part in the original Lion King movie, when Rafiki handprints a red mane onto his drawing when he realises Simba is still alive. On the opposite side of the clasp is a single golden cubic zirconia stone in the centre of the PANDORA and Disney logos. Engraved on the bangle is the famous line ‘Remember who you are’. This bracelet would be a perfect base for a Lion King themed styling.

Pandora Disney Simba Silver Charm (798049ENMX)

Pandora Disney Simba Silver Charm (798049ENMX)
$50 USD / £40 / €45 / $59 AUD / $55 CAD

The Simba portrait charm was originally my favourite out of the new Pandora Disney Lion King charms. Simba’s face and personality is aptly represented in this pose, depicting the time in his life when he is ready to shoulder his responsibility and become King. Black enamel detail adds emphasis to his eyes while a burgundy red covers his nose. When I view the initial low resolution images the red enamel appeared much brighter and I am happy to see that it will be darker in reality.

Pandora Disney Sparkling Simba & Nala Heart Charm (798044NPRMX)

Pandora Disney Sparkling Simba & Nala Heart Charm (798044NPRMX)
$75 USD / £60 / €69 / $89 AUD / $85 CAD

As with most Disney films, The Lion King is not just about friendship but is also a love story. The new Simba & Nala Heart charm reminds me of the waterfall scene and Elton John’s song ‘Can you Feel the Love Tonight’ from The Lion King soundtrack. A youthful Nala and Simba huddle together at the centre of a heart shaped ‘button’ charm. Illustrating a beautiful sunset, golden cubic zirconia stones fade into a pretty purple. Tiny cut out hearts decorate the side of the charm.

Pandora Disney Simba, Timon & Pumbaa Dangle Charm (798043NRG)

Pandora Disney Simba, Timon & Pumbaa Dangle Charm (798043NRG)
$65 USD / £55 / €59 / $79 AUD / $75 CAD

Hakuna matata is the perfect phrase to describe the new Simba, Timon & Pumbaa charm. The trio of friends walk in line on one piece of this delightful dangle charm. A separate disc hangs behind them depicting a jungle scene in forest green enamel. Two matching green cubic zirconia stones adorn both sides of the charm’s bale and two leaves are embossed on the back of the charm.

Pandora Shine Disney Simba & Mufasa Dangle Charm (768262ENMX)
Pandora Shine Disney Simba & Mufasa Dangle Charm (768262ENMX)

Pandora Shine Disney Simba & Mufasa Dangle Charm (768262ENMX)
$75 USD / £80 / €89 / $119 AUD / $85 CAD

Interestingly the initial images I saw of the Disney Simba & Mufasa Charm were of a silver charm. Now it seems that Pandora have favoured to produce the dangle in Pandora Shine and I think it was the right decision. Glorious shades of gold are the signature colours for the film and the 18k gold plated Pandora Shine finish beautifully compliments the amber enamel details. On one disc, Mufasa and Simba sit together viewing their Kingdom, everything that the light touches. The second disc swings behind displaying a savanna scene with tall trees and elegant giraffes. An interesting hieroglyphic pattern adorns the charm’s bale.

Limited Edition
Pandora Shine Disney Simba Charm (768049ENMX)
$100 USD / £60 / €69 / $89 AUD / $110 CAD

As I mentioned earlier the silver Simba charm was my original favourite from the Pandora Disney Lion King range. But that was until I saw the Pandora Shine version! The luminous golden colour is perfect for Simba and his flowing mane. As with the silver version of this charm, black enamel highlights Simba’s determined eyes and a deep red enamel covers his nose. The Pandora Shine Disney Simba Charm is my must have from this collection!

The Pandora Disney Lion King range will be released ahead of the movie on Thursday 4th July 2019. This exciting new range will be available both in store and online at our preferred Pandora retailer BeCharming.com.

This year has been so exciting for Disney fans and Pandora is producing fantastic jewellery to support the new live action Disney films. I watched Aladdin at the cinema yesterday and absolutely loved it and am looking forward to seeing The Lion King in July. My favourite charm from the Pandora Disney Lion King charm is the Pandora Shine Disney Simba Charm which is already on my wish list.

Hey. So excited to see all of these disney charms and bracelets. Just wondering, some of them say ‘limited’ on them. Just wondering how long they’ll last for, thanks.

Hi Aliza, The Disney charms are lovely. I got the Limited Simba Shine this weekend. It’s a good question aboutthe “Limited” pieces and I don’t have any definitive answers. I tried to source the Limited pieces from a few independent online stores that I regularly use and they hadn’t been sent it. I got it direct from Pandora.net in the end. My feeling is that Limited pieces will be on sale at full price until they sell out. They are unlikely to be retired and put in a clearance sale. They are less likely to be included in promos. They… Read more »

Thanks for this preview. When I first saw most of the charms in grainy images I didn’t really like them. However seeing the actual charms with their bold vibrant colors I actually love them plus I think they are so appealing due to the fact that so many people grew up with this film 🦁

Hi Alex,

Yes, the high res images are lovely, and I am sure they are even nicer in person. I am hoping to get the Shine Simba this week and will review it soon.

Lion King was a fave film for me growing up as well. I have seen the Theatre production in London for my wedding anniversary so it holds good memories.

I think this is the biggest launch of the year for Pandora so far.

Have a great day,

Dora

Awe that’s so nice that you have not only childhood but adult memories of the film as well. Can’t wait to see your new review for Simba 🦁

The shine pieces are so perfectly done. If I had to choose just one piece, it would have to be the shine Simba. With me being an August baby, I can see this charm in particular needing to be in my collection.

Hi Linda,

I love the Shine Simba as well and hope to get it this week. For me the Shine pieces that I have are the fun ones, I am trying to build a 14ct Gold bracelet as a grown up serious bracelet, but Shine is fun.

Have a great day,

The gold Simba is lovely, I think that would look nice on its own on a bangle or the sliding bracelet/bangle hmm . It will have to wait, though, as I’ve just discovered that the UK sale is about to start and Swag jewellers has started already, I’m over £100 poorer than I was when I came to bed tonight razz eek .

Hi Pat,

A month after this comment I wonder if you only spent £100 in the sales (don’t tell me). Yes, Shine Simba would look lovely on his own, he is a limited edition so I don’t think he will reach the sales. He will be very popular.

I don’t have a Shine bracelet yet but am thinking about the mesh version for future Shine projects.

Have a great day,

Dora

Thank you for posting! I forgot about the Lion King charms & now their recent Summer Collection makes more sense! I adore the Shine pieces, especially the dangle. I have yet to purchase any new summer charms but I think I will wait until 7/4. Perfect Zoo bracelet, I have many animal and animal print muranos! Can’t until the release!

Hi Dora,

You are right. That the gold looks beter. But i have nothing in gold and i don’t know if it’s nice to combine with silver as i’m not a mixing type. And it has become more expencive.

Wil these be the only charms or will there be a regular collection to?

Hi Manon,

Someone in the comments suggested that the Shine Simba would look great on his own, I agree that would look lovely – maybe in a stack!

I am going to be pairing with my Dutch Lion King wink

Have a great day,
