Oh no what a shame. I was really looking forward to see and know what that one would be, but the design is just disappointing me :(. I don’t like zirconia’s like that and especially in pink, I’m not a huge fan. I would have to pass on that one, although I’m sure other people will definitely love it.

      Hi Forest Beads,
I was also disappointed in the design. I think it is a shame that when thinking about what represents women all they came up with was pink, sparkly hearts. It isn’t very inspirational. Hopefully next years design will be better.

Well, Dora, I have to say this charm is disappointing. Pandora needed to come up with an original idea for such an important charm.

      Hi Emily,
I completely agree! I liked the advertising approach recently from Barbie which showed young girls playing out what they wanted to be when they grew up and included important work roles. The idea being that they could be what they wanted. Something similar could have worked for this design. I thought it would have been great if PANDORA took a woman from different categories like sports, teaching, business etc and had them influence the design of a charm or maybe a set of charms. The 2018 IWD Charm just illustrates how people view women in general and think women only like pink sparkly hearts! Anyhoo… maybe it was designed by the designer that left!

Great concept but the design is generic and looks like a breast cancer charm. Hopefully Pandora will come up with a better design for 2019 because with a good design I think the charm would sell well as International Women’s Day is being celebrated more and more each year.

      Hi Lozzie,
You are right, it does look like a Breast cancer charm! I am hoping it was designed by the designer at PANDORA who has since left and next years will be better! There are so many things they could have done with this design. Oh well, it’s just as well I don’t love every charm or I’d be broke!
