REVIEW: Pandora Cute Mushroom Charm

The adorable Pandora Cute Mushroom Charm (799528C01) from the recent Pandora Autumn 2021 Collection immediately captured my heart! Having grown up in the countryside, I spent much of my youth climbing trees and enacting stories amongst the woods and forests. Autumn months were a favourite time to traipse in the fallen leaves whilst talking to imaginary friends and make believe characters. Hence for me the little Cute Mushroom charm is full of nostalgia!

Dora Explores: Pandora Cute Mushroom Charm

As an old school Pandora fan, I love charms decorated with oxidisation details. Although the Pandora Cute Mushroom Charm (799528C01) is new it has those classic Pandora characteristics and is well suited to older charms. Shiny silver dots and hearts stand out against the etched lines on the bell shaped head, creating a beautiful juxtaposition. Two brilliant-cut black crystals eyes peep out beneath the toadstool cap, giving it the look of a kawaii character.

Two little fungi feet are visible from the bottom of the Pandora Cute Mushroom (799528C01) charm. While the under side of the toadstool resembles a pleated petticoat!

The standard hallmark for Pandora silver jewellery, ‘S925 ALE’, is engraved on the back of the Cute Mushroom (799528C01) charm. It is just visible beneath the frilly edge of the mushroom cap.

Although the Pandora Cute Mushroom Charm (799528C01) is fairly small in size it has a nice solid weight. Surprisingly it is not a threaded charm, rather is has a smooth inner core.

When I first saw the Pandora Cute Mushroom Charm (799528C01), I was reminded of the Nintendo character Toad. Therefore my first design with is inspired by Toad and Nintendo Mario Kart and set on the classic Pandora Moments Barrel Clasp Snake Chain Bracelet (598816C00).

Spread across the design, three bright red Disney x Pandora Minnie Signature Look Murano (791635) charms resemble Toad’s polka dot head. The Cute Mushroom charm represents Toad who is the main star of the bracelet but various other Nintendo characters are also included. Dino the Dinosaur (798123) acts as Yoshi, the Mother & Baby Chimp (790422) charm pictures Donkey Kong and the spikes of Nino the Hedgehog (798353EN16) are ideal for naughty Bowser! The retired Crown & Castle (791133PCZ) and Princess Crown (791580CZ) charms narrate Princess Peach and her stately home.

Other charms depict objects and scenery from Nintendo Mario Kart, including the fun Disney x Pandora Minnie Mouse & Mickey Mouse Car (797174) as a cart! The Limited Edition Pandora 20 Love Dice (799065C00) performs as the Mystery Block and the retired Turtle (790158) charm is a cute substitute for the Koopa Shell! Meanwhile scary King Boo is shown in the two tone King Crown (790122) charm and the Shuttlecock (790579) charm evokes Bullet Bill! Finally the sweet Family Forever (791040) charm pictures the fun times I had with my brother playing Mario Kart.

My second styling with the Pandora Cute Mushroom Charm (799528C01) is inspired by nature. Titled ‘Fairy Circle’, this design is set on the beautiful Pandora Moments 14k Gold Two-tone Barrel Clasp Snake Chain Bracelet (599347C00).

Two gorgeous Fascinating Olive Crystals (791729NLG) provide a mystical green glow over the bracelet while the Perfect Posies (790485D) sparkle seductively at the centre. Nestled amongst the flowers are the two tone Fairy Pixie (791206) and Swans & Heart (799315C00) charms Solid 14k golden details include the intricate Tropicana (750834) and Starlight (750810) charms and my beloved Lucerne (750818) clips. Listen carefully and you will hear the buzzing Queen Bee (790227) and the chirping Frog Prince (799342C00).

My verdict on the Pandora Cute Mushroom Charm?

He’s a fungi!
