Last week I was delighted to receive a special gift from Pandora, the adorable Sparkling Monkey! The super cute Sparkling Monkey (798054CZ) charm was released on Thursday 30th May 2019 as part of the Pandora 2019 Summer Collection. The jungle is one of the main themes from the Summer Collection. Other animals include the magnificent Sparkling Lion Princess (788024CZM) and the sweet Rino the Rhinoceros (798023) charms.

Dora Explores: Pandora Sparkling Monkey Charm

The Pandora Sparkling Monkey (798054CZ) is one of my favourite charms from the Pandora 2019 Summer Collection. Gripping his little feet, the cute monkey forms a hole that a bracelet or necklace can be threaded through. This fun charm is filled with lovely details including bright turquoise cubic zirconia eyes and love hearts stamped onto the bottom of his feet.

Like many of the recent Pandora charms, the Sparkling Monkey charm has movement incorporated into it’s design. His dangling snake chain tail swings playfully as he spins around on a bracelet. The regular Pandora hallmark, ‘S925 ALE’ is discreetly stamped on the Sparkling Monkey’s bottom.

Clear cubic zirconia stones decorate the Sparkling Monkey’s head and scatter down his back in a similar style to the pattern on the new Sparkling Coffee Bean Shell (798131CZ).

The Sparkling Monkey’s features are based on the common Rhesus macaque monkey, with his big ears and protruding face. Pavé set cubic zirconia stones cover his furry head.

The Sparkling Monkey charm is top heavy and hangs upside down if worn on a necklace. However, as monkeys often climb and perform acrobatics it actually looks fitting hanging upside down!

The Sparkling Monkey is a wonderful charm and I can’t help but smile whenever I look at his little face.

My stylings with the Pandora Sparkling Monkey charm are themed on the ancient Japanese proverb ‘see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil’. Three wise monkeys depict the adage. The three monkeys are Mizaru who covers his eyes and sees no evil, Kikazaru who covers his ears and hears no evil, and Iwazaru who is covering his mouth and speaks no evil.

My first styling is based on ‘See No Evil’ and set on my gorgeous Two Tone Clasp Moments Bracelet (590702HG) which is currently available for £125 in the Pandora Summer Sale. Gold and turquoise combine to create a tropical beach feel where evil is nowhere to be seen. The 14k Gold Heart Pendant (750809D), Tropicana Openwork (750834) and the Celtic Circles (750811TPK) charms create a spattering of gold throughout the design. Sea greens from the Ocean Mosaic Pavé Ball (791261MCZMX) and the Petite Green Facet (791499SGQ) charms highlight the Sparkling Monkey’s vivid eyes.

No evil can be heard in the quiet of the jungle of my second design with the Sparkling Monkey charm. Four Pandora Muirapiranga Wood (790703) beads are interspersed around the classic Moments Bracelet (590702HV). The Sparkling Monkey plays silently in the middle of the forest, while the King of the Jungle (791377) treads majestically through the trees. Five other animals can be spotted on the beautiful Safari (791360) charm: a Elephant, Lion, Cheetah, Buffalo and Rhinoceros. Golden drops from the Lazy Daisy Clips (791014), Tree of Life (790429) and Moss (791225) charms lend warmth alongside the chocolate brown wood.

No evil is spoken in my third styling with the Sparkling Monkey charm, a fun filled circus scene set on the silver Pandora Mesh Bracelet (596543). Bright lights glittering and shine from the Colour Wheel (797199NLCMX) at the centre of the design. The Sparkling Monkey twirls and spins on one side and the Disney Wish Upon a Star (797490NBL) charm creates a magical nighttime feel. The shimmering Ariel Signature Murano (791641) charms highlight the Sparkling Monkey’s teal eyes, while the two tone Drum (790412) and Disney Parks Carrousel charm complete the design.

My verdict on the Pandora Sparkling Monkey Charm? It’s the monkey’s uncle!
